Campaigning in Westminster

We are working to ensure that MPs and Peers understand why people with a neurological condition need high-quality, joined up services now. We focus particularly on influencing those ministers in the Department of Health with a direct interest in improving services for people with a neurological condition: Ann Keen, MP, Parliamentary Secretary of State for Care Services and Phil Hope, Minister of State for Care Services.

Alliance members working with MPs and Peers.

We have established a Policy Group of staff in member organisations who work with MPs and Peers. The Group is intended to enable member organisations to share information and plan co-ordinated action. For more information, please contact the Chief Executive of the Neurological Alliance.

Finding MPs, Peers and groups with an interest

You can find MPs and Peers with a special interest in neurological conditions by looking at the membership of All Party Parliamentary Groups with a neurological focus, including:

Parkinson’s APPG
Epilepsy APPG
Dementia APPG
ME AGGP
Muscular Dystrophy APPG
MND APPG
MS APPG
Stroke APPG

Any APPG requires the declared membership of twenty MPs or Peers and you can find their names in the House of Commons Register of All-Party Groups at www.publications.parliament.uk.
