Campaigning in Westminster

We are working to ensure that MPs and Peers understand why people with a neurological condition need high-quality, joined up services now. We focus particularly on influencing those ministers in the Department of Health with a direct interest in improving services for people with a neurological condition: Andrew Lansley, Secretary of State for Health and Paul Burstow, Minister of State for Care Services.

We have established a Policy Group of staff in member organisations who work with MPs and Peers. The Group is intended to enable member organisations to share information and plan co-ordinated action. For more information, please contact Arlene Wilkie, the Chief Executive of the Neurological Alliance.

Finding MPs, Peers and groups with an interest

You can find MPs and Peers with a special interest in neurological conditions by looking at the membership of All Party Parliamentary Groups with a neurological focus.

Any APPG requires the declared membership of twenty MPs or Peers. You can find a full list of APPGs and search for your special interest APPG here.
