The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery is hosting a one-day introductory workshop aimed at occupational therapists working in vocational rehabilitation (VR) with people with Multiple Sclerosis. It would also be relevant for other patient groups with progressive neurological conditions. The focus of this day is maintaining the working role for this client group. The workshop guides the therapist through key resources in this area including:
• The current social and political climate
• Legal resources and the Disability Discrimination Act
• Current Research
• Fatigue Management in the context of VR
• Case studies for individual programmes
• Expert Panel: Question and Answer session
Through the sessions, you will be introduced to the key resources for maintenance of the working role with people with Multiple Sclerosis.
