Other ways for individuals to support the AllianceGifts Because we are a small charity, your donation will help us to make a big difference to someone living with a neurological disorder. There is no such thing as a small donation to us. Regular gifts You can easily set up a [standing order] to make regular payments to the Alliance. Please contact us at admin@neural.org.uk and we will send you everything you need to do this. If you are a UK taxpayer and make a Gift Aid declaration, you can get tax relief, too! Payroll Giving Does your employer enable you to make regular donations through your pay? You may be surprised how many employers do. If so, you can easily support us. Just ask! Legacies Your support doesn't have to stop when you do. You may already have made a will. Or you may be thinking about it now. All we ask is that you leave us a share. The size of the share is up to you, of course; you probably have a family and other commitments to provide for. But leaving us a share too means that you will continue to help other people long after you are gone. A few tips
In memoriam A gift in their memory is a fine way of marking the life of someone who has died, especially if they had a neurological disorder. For example, after someone dear has died you might want to ask people to send a donation to the Alliance instead of flowers. Celebrations Life has joys as well as sorrows. Weddings, wedding anniversaries, the birth of a child. Why not remember the Alliance at these times, too? Invite us to join in the celebrations by sending us a donation! Sponsorship Set yourself a challenge like losing weight, running the Marathon, shaving your head – and boost your determination by getting friends and family to sponsor you. There is a sponsorship form to help the Alliance when you achieve your goal. Volunteering You may have knowledge, skills and time to give. The Alliance continues to depend on the work of its volunteers. Contributions have included acting as trustee, contributing to the work of specialist committees, eg Research, participating in focus groups about living with neurological disorders, making presentations at meetings. For current opportunities, please see Working for the Alliance. There may well be opportunities near where you live. And in return We will always thank you. We will support you with publicity materials. We will send you a free copy of any of our publications – just contact admin@neural.org.uk. We will (unless you ask us not to) acknowledge your support in our newsletter to members. We will work with volunteers and secondees to give them the maximum possible opportunities for personal development and, if they want it, advice and practical experience to help them secure paid positions in the voluntary sector. We will, if you would like us to, add you to our mailing list and keep you up to date with what we are doing. Just contact admin@neural.org.uk [ Page updated on 20/07/2004 ] |
