Neurological Alliance members write to Public Accounts Commitee
The Neurological Alliance, together with 27 member charities and associations, has written to the House of Commons Public Accounts Committee to call for a further review of neurological services.
Services for people with neurological conditions are traditionally neglected by the health system, and have a long way to go before they reach the standards we expect of health and care services in the UK.
We call for the Committee, which scrutinises how public funds are spent, to pursue the suggestion made in its 2012 report on neurological services and ask the National Audit Office to undertake a follow-up review. This would assess progress made since 2012 and identify measures for further improvement.
