Neurological Alliance members write to Public Accounts Committee
Neurological Alliance members have written to members of the House of Commons Public Accounts Committee to call for a full review of services for people with neurological conditions. The letter is available to read here
The letter follows the publication of a new report by the National Audit Office (NAO), which showed that the government has failed to achieve key objectives for improving services for millions of people with neurological conditions.
Reviewing progress against recommendations made by the Public Accounts Committee in 2012, the NAO’s report shows that progress has been ‘poor’ against two of four agreed recommendations, and only ‘moderate’ in the other two.
Consequently, we now call on the Public Accounts Committee to undertake a full review in order to examine the ongoing issues which continue to affect the quality, accessibility and value for money of neurology services.
