The White Paper on welfare reform Raising expectations and increasing support: reforming welfare for the future, was published by the Department of Welfare and Pensions (DWP) on 10 December 2008. This paper sets out how the DWP intends to progress in making a reality their aim of achieving a ‘personalised welfare state’ where individuals are given greater support to maximise on their skills and promise.
