Department of Health commission review of prescription charges for people with long-term conditions

Professor Ian Gilmore, President of the Royal College of Physicians, was asked by the Government to carry out a review of prescription charges for people with long term conditions and to report to Ministers this summer.

The Department of Health is hosting an online survey on his behalf. Responses to this survey will help him formulate his recommendations to Ministers about how to exempt people with long term conditions from prescription charges and how an exemption can be phased in.
