MND awareness film clip launched by the MND Association

Sarah’s Story: raising awareness of MND and the work of the MND Association

Over last year, the MND Association has been developing a new awareness raising campaign called Sarah’s Story, based around a film clip aimed at conveying the emotional and physical impact of a diagnosis of MND. It is hard-hitting.

This film – the first ever UK broadcast ad created to raise awareness of MND - is to be shown in cinemas across England and Wales from the end of January and during February.

The cinema showings are thanks to the kind support of Pearl & Dean, who offered free broadcast time on 70 arthouse cinema screens. A list of the 40 participating cinemas is below. The dates of broadcast are 30 January to 5 February and 13 to 19 February.

The purpose of Sarah’s Story is to raise awareness of MND and the work of the MND Association. The campaign has been created at virtually no cost, with free support from within the advertising and film industries. Making the film has involved people with MND, in particular, Sarah Ezekiel, after whom the campaign has been named.

Now that the film is to be shown publicly, the MND Association are doing their best to let everyone involved with the Association know, as they would not want people to be taken by surprise if they happen to see it. The website: www.sarahsstory.org.uk is also being launched.
